Does Lindsay Lohan Owe $230,000 in Unpaid Taxes?

According to TMZ, Lilo’s bank accounts have been seized by the IRS to alleviate her almost quarter-million-dollar debt

Lindsay Lohan‘s worst week ever is shaping up to be her worst month ever. Following her arrest for a nightclub assault and her new criminal charges for that summer car crash — not to mention the terrible reviews of her “comeback movie,” Liz & Dick — Lohan has now had her bank accounts seized by the IRS. What’s next: the Grinch stealing her Christmas?

According to TMZ, the actress owes $233,094 in unpaid federal taxes, as well as an unspecified amount from 2011. Charlie Sheen reportedly gave Lohan a $100,000 check after hearing about her tax woes on the Scary Movie 5 set — but apparently, that wasn’t enough to smooth things over with the IRS.
“I’m very concerned. Where is all her money going?” Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan said to the Daily News on Monday.
Michael also worries that his daughter’s substance abuse problems have returned with a vengeance. “I care about one thing: Lindsay’s life,” he said. “I know she’s drinking again, and that’s bad enough. What happens if she goes to jail? They don’t detox you in jail. I want her in rehab. I wanted her in rehab six months ago.”
TMZ claims that Lohan is drinking two liters of vodka a day, and a People magazine source has also expressed concern that Lindsay is drinking too much. “She will fool people into thinking she’s changed, but at some point in the night, she always snaps and it’s always the same story,” said a friend. Another source close to the actress called her “out of control,” saying that “her friends don’t know what to do.”
Yet another friend, however, told People that Lindsay’s only problem is her tarnished public image. “If everything you did was criticized, you’d lash out too,” commented the source. “But she’ll be fine, she’s tough. She’ll probably outlive everyone.”
Lohan is due in court in Los Angeles on Dec. 12th for a hearing related to her three car-crash misdemeanors (which are: resisting arrest, lying to a police officer and reckless driving). If the judge determines that the charges are a violation of Lindsay’s probation, the actress could be sentenced to 245 days in jail. So if the Grinch doesn’t steal her Christmas, the courts just might.
