Taylor Swift closed Sunday night’s (November 11) circus-themed MTV EMA 2012 ceremony with a circus of her own, turning her hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” into a big-top spectacle.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Live)
Appearing out of a magic trick, Swift owned the circus theme more than any other artist by channeling her inner ringmaster and donning a top hat and a dazzling red sequined blazer with tails. The pop star kicked off the performance with a wink and sassily sang the catchy words into her matching red microphone (good marketing for her latest album, Red). Sparks flew as Swift performed, and she was accompanied by a gang of fire-throwers, dancers masked as circus animals and even a clown hilariously riding a miniature bicycle.
Swift, who only first toured Europe this year, dominated the 19th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, taking home three awards, including Best Female, Best Live and Best Look, from a grand total of six nominations for the evening. But Rihanna, who was nominated for five awards tonight, went home empty-handed.

Despite Swift’s undeniable success, her three wins in Frankfurt, Germany, were particularly significant for the singer.
“This is my very first EMA,” Swift exclaimed after receiving her first award in the Best Female category. “I’m so excited. This is unreal.”
Not bad for a first-timer, Tay Tay.

Heaven meets Middle Earth: Miranda Kerr slips into plunging forest green corset with magical silver stars as she leads Victoria’s Secret Show…

By Amelia Proud

Her husband is about to appear on the big screen once again as Legolas, the beautiful elf from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but it seems that Miranda Kerr got to Middle Earth before him.

Or fell there, perhaps.

The incandescent 29-year-old chose a magical forest green creation that wouldn’t look out of place in a Peter Jackson film as one of her outfits for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York on Wednesday night.

Bloom’s character is not in the Tolkien prequel but was asked back by Jackson; quite a coup for him and his family who have enjoyed being in New Zealand for filming when Australian Kerr’s work allows.
The fantastical world of Tolkien recreated by Jackson certainly seems to have influenced Kerr in some of her choices for the big show.

She was every bit the fairy princess in the green number, Kerr even had a cape added to the basque for good measure.

The forest green of the outfit was elvish and the stars climbed up the bodice on branches like an enchanted trellis until they shot off Miranda’s cleavage.

Feathered wings resembled grass as they curled towards Miranda’s bouncy chestnut mane, which was crowned with a queen fit for a princess of The Shire.

Wanna see a trick? Yes, the crowd bayed as the blonde beauty hypnotised themThe plunging neckline ensured the creation was as sexy as it was fanciful.
For another of her appearances, Kerr wore an enormous pair of swan feathers… and looked equally suited to an appearance in a fantasy film.

Another saw her in tamer, candy-coloured lace… but it was still a stunning look.

Doutzen Kroes, 27, also wore some spectacular outfits during the show which had several segments including Angels in Bloom, Calendar Girls, Circus, Silver Screen Angels and Dangerous Liaisons.

Perhaps her stand-out was a fun confection of pastel pink pom poms that she accessorised with a black hula hoop that she lasciviously moved up and down over her body.

She also slipped into a sexy black and pale blue cage and feathers number that seemed to entrance Rihanna during her performance.

The Dutch beauty also almost stole the show in white feathers, that were arranged from a bejewelled crown like an explosion from a firecracker.

The majestic headpiece couldn’t distract from the clear stones scattered across her toned torso.

Alessandra Ambrosio, meanwhile, was affixed to some giant pink orchids and trussed up like a circus mistress and fortune teller in red jewels with a half moon suspended above her; and of course got to wear that $2.5 million Fantasy Bra.

Kristina Rihanoff reveals all about her car crash horror, love with Joe Calzaghe and dancing with Colin Salmon

By Halina Watts The brave Strictly star had a brush with death in a horror car crash but was dancing again just as week later She’s one of Strictly Come Dancing’s biggest stars but Kristina Rihanoff has revealed she nearly died on her journey to TV fame. The ambitious 35-year-old was involved in a horrific car crash when she lived in America. The car was written off and Kristina badly damaged her knee. But she refused to stop dancing and bravely took part in a competition the next week. Now her brush with death gives her strength to always try her best in the hit BBC1 show.

Against all odds: Kristina's brush with death gave her strength

Kristina, who partners movie star Colin Salmon in the current series, said: “In my 20s I thought I was invincible. “I was in America and I had a bad car accident when I was 25. “I was with my husband and my dance partner at that time, and a guy ran the red light and smashed into us. “Our car was completely written off but thankfully we were OK. “The guy who picked the car up said, ‘I see people dead for less’. I was terrified but I was more scared not to dance in the competition the next week. “The doctor said, ‘You are crazy, you can not go’. I said I have to. I look back and think I can’t believe I did that. “I didn’t break any bones, I just smashed my knee up. Thank God, I was OK.” She told the Sunday People the ordeal has made her even more determined to win this year’s Strictly. Kristina, who met her boxer boyfriend Joe Calzaghe when he was her partner on the show three years ago, has helped film heartthrob Colin, 49, become a hit in the latest series. The couple performed the foxtrot to Aretha Franklin’s Accentuate The Positive on last night’s show. And Kristina - whose previous dance partners include John Sergeant, 68, and Jason Donovan, 44 – thinks she has the best relationship with Colin. She said: “With Colin, in a funny way, it is the relationship that gells the most. “It is different than Joe. With Joe we have a chemistry, we liked each other. It was funny because we didn’t want to show it. “With Colin it’s different because it is a friendship more than a chemistry. He is a really cool customer and he knows what he is doing. “But dancing with Colin has its challenges because he is a foot and three inches taller than me. I feel so tiny next to him. “He has never danced before but he has a very natural ability.” Kristina was also thrilled to have Royal Ballet legend Darcey Bussell, 43, as a new judge this year because she is a big fan of hers. The Russian-born blonde said: “My dream started with ballet. When I was five I said to my mum, ‘Take me to ballet school’. “I went but they didn’t take me because I didn’t have the right physique. The lady said to my mum, ‘She will never be a prima ballerina, it will be extremely difficult and painful for her to do it’. She said it would be better to do ballroom dancing. “That day I felt like my life was over. I was crying my eyes out for a couple of days.

”Then my mum took me to ballroom school and I loved it. But I still did ballet because it is the ABC of all groundings. “I know how hard it is and what Darcey achieved in her career is incredible.” Kristina will not be swapping dancing for changing baby nappies any time soon, even though she is keen to have a family. She fell in love with boxer Joe, 40, in the 2009 series and says he understands how important dancing is to her. She said: “I think what is great about Joe and I is that he had a similar life to what mine is like now. “His family and everyone supported him throughout his camaybe reer and he knows how important that support is for me. “Like any woman I want kids, I’m a Russian woman too and for Russian women, it’s very strong. “I would love to have kids with Joe but we are not planning it. “It’s up to me to see how it goes. I am at the top of my career now and I worked so hard to get to that point. “I came from nothing, and I moved from Russia to the United States and from the States to here. It was extremely hard to keep giving up my friends in order to pursue my dreams.

”Joe knows how much I gave up to have what I have now – the show gave me everything. “It gave me Joe too and I thank Strictly for helping me find love.” Joe, who grew up in South Wales with his Italian dad and Welsh mum, waltzed into Kristina’s life shortly after he retired as the undefeated super middleweight and light heavyweight world champ. Kristina, recalling how she fell for him, said: “People fall in love on the show because it is very intimate and very nerve-racking. “You get nervous and vulnerable and then you see each other for what you really are. “You don’t have time to cover yourself. You put your emotions are out there. I remember Joe was squeezing my hand before he went out there. “He was so nervous and it was so sweet. I was taking him on a journey in my world. “The man can have a knock out with anyone in the ring but he was nervous about dancing with me. “That showed me he can be vulnerable and sensitive.”

She might want to Check It Out! Nicki Minaj suffers wardrobe malfunction on stage as her nipple covers pop out on view

ByLouise Saunders

She may have only kicked off the UK leg of her Pink Friday: Reloaded gig on Sunday night, but Nicki Minaj has already been flashing her assets to thousands of onlookers. Taking to the stage at Manchester's MEN Arena on Monday night, the Super Bass hitmaker flashed a little more flesh than she bargained for as she appeared in a skimpy black bustier. Performing a series of energetic dance moves, the rapper didn't seem to notice as her flower-shaped nipple covers popped out for all to see.

And although she appeared to ignore the embarrassing mishap as she continued with her show, she later addressed the overexposure to the crowd.

She joked: 'You guys have seen my boobs before. You won't tell anyone, will you?' But it was no surprise the star failed to preserve her modesty, as the black bustier puffball-style dress left little to the imagination when it came to her seemingly uncontrollable cleavage.

The previous evening at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena, Nicki warned audience members that she and her dancers could be exposing a little more than anticipated throughout the show. She said: 'This is our first show so excuse any boobs popping out or any penises popping out!' Despite the wardrobe malfunction, the R&B star seemed delighted with her performance and was full of praise for her British fans

Writing on her Twitter page after the show, she said: 'all i can say is there's no place like the uk =P. 'Just had the time of my life in Manchester. Cant begin to describe their energy... Unbelievable... #PinkFridayRELOADEDTour.' The Starships hitmaker was joined at the Manchester leg of her tour by 2011 X Factor star Misha B, who showed off her newly svelte figure in a red velvet top and black leather miniskirt.

And the 20-year-old starlet admitted her recent weight-loss was the result of a strict diet and exercise regime. She told new! magazine: 'I've definitely dropped a dress size. I started eating properly and I joined a gym near to where I live, so I try and go as often as possible.' But it wasn't just Misha joining Nicki on the Manchester leg of her Pink Friday: Reloaded tour, with a whole host of other stars turning out to support the musical duo.

Manchester City footballer Mario Balotelli was joined by teammates Gareth Barry and Joe Hart as they enjoyed a night out at the gig alongside fellow soccer star, Sunderland defender Titus Bramble. Meanwhile, Waterloo Road actress Tina O'Brien showed off her petite figure in a black vest and high-waisted jeans as she attended the event with a group of girlie pals. Following her dates in Nottingham and Manchester, Nicki Minaj will also appear in Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Cardiff and Dublin.

Taylor Swift Begins Again With New Album, Red

She Talks About the Creative Process That Led to Her Latest Songs
Taylor Swift's fans were wondering when she'd ever finish her brand new record, Red. Meanwhile, Swift realized the precise moment when the record was finally ready. It arrives in stores Monday (Oct. 22).

"I knew that the album was done when I literally wrote and wrote and wrote for two years and I wrote until I could not write anymore. I think that is when I knew," she tells CMT.com. "I couldn't physically, mentally, emotionally push myself to write one more song. At that point, I had 30 or 40 songs compiled for the record and it just was about paring it down to 16. It was not easy, but it is a good problem to have."

During a recent swing through CMT, she cheerfully chatted about her latest co-writing sessions, her flashes of songwriting inspiration and her approach to turning music into an event.

CMT.com: For this record, did you write with people you had never met before?

Swift: I did. Writing with people I had never met before, walking into a studio to work with them, is something I am kind of used to, based on my experience writing in Nashville and co-writing with different people. Your publisher will set up meetings for you, and you won't know the person. You will never have met the person before. You walk in and you tell them everything that is going on in your life. I think you just have to have a certain trust level and comfort level, and you just have to be able to walk in and bare your soul to a stranger. It can be really, really fun to have someone with fresh ears on the situation and hear what they come up with.

When you are meeting a songwriter, do you like to listen to what they have written in the past and already know where they are coming from?

I make co-writing sessions based on being a fan of what that writer has done before. When I was writing songs for this album, I didn't have a lot of time to go in to 20 different writing sessions. I wanted to make sure that the people I was writing with were people I desperately wanted to write with. So I did that, and it was such a blast because I wanted the styles of those co-writers to rub off on my music, and it happened.

How often do you wake up with the idea for the perfect song in your head?

When I get an idea for a song, it could be in the middle of the night. It could be in the middle of the day. It could be in the middle of riding in the car with my friend, in which case I record it into my phone. My friends are so used to that now. If you cannot get it out of your head and it sticks with you, then that is how you know you need to finish it. I really don't like to finish songs I am not into. I get bored. You know, "If this song is not going to make the album, why am I finishing it? This is a waste of time."

When you do finish a song that you've written, who gets to hear it?

When I write a song and I am in love with it, I'll play it for my mom, my dad, my record label president Scott [Borchetta]. I'll play it for some of my closest friends that I know I can trust. For me, their reactions really help determine where that song is going to end up because they are very honest with me. If they are like (lightly) "Oh, that's great," they don't like it! (laughs)

Are you into power ballads? Do you have any power ballads on your own playlists?

Sure. Absolutely, I have a lot of rap. I have a lot of acoustic. I have a lot of folk-influenced [songs]. I have a lot of things that people have not heard yet because I am digging around trying to find the thing that has a cool melody that my friends will hear and go, "Oh, that's great, what's that!?" I really like turning my friends on to new music.

So are there any words or phrases we will never hear in one of your songs?

I don't really swear in my songs. I guess there are certain things I shy away from. I try to shy away from things that sound like they have been said too many times, or I will put a twist on them so they sound a little bit new. I think it's all about finding a new way to say something that can speak to people. It's a difficult thing to do, for sure.

Yeah, and to make it still sound conversational.

I think that conversational writing is something I have always gravitated towards. That way, it's very natural. It's like you're being told a story by one of your friends. That's what I love when I try and find new songs. I always go for lyrics that sound conversational.

Are you a fan of vinyl records? Do you have a vinyl collection?

I love vinyl. I think it turns music into an event. You get out your vinyl record, you put it on your record player and it turns it into something you are doing that evening. I really love it. I loved putting my last album out on vinyl. It was really exciting.

Sometimes I'll interview songwriters who talk about how certain guitars might have a song in them, waiting to come out. Do you identify with that?

Not at all. I have never identified songwriting with a certain room or a specific pair of shoes or a guitar. I feel like ideas are randomly floating around up in the sky and, every once in a while, one kind of lands right next to your head. And you have the opportunity to reach up and grab it at the right time. Sometimes you'll be asleep and you have an idea, and you think, "I can remember that tomorrow." And you wake up the next morning and it's just gone. It's the most frustrating feeling because you swear to yourself, "That was it, that was the best song that I have ever written -- and now it's gone!"
